Marina Inn

The staff is super friendly and helpful and the price is great for the location, which is within walking distance of Ghirardelli square, fisherman's wharf, and buses to just about anywhere. The included breakfast is simple, but good (most places nearby didn't include breakfast at all). Our only complaints were the noise (the street is pretty busy all night) and easily-opened very low windows, which were really only a problem because we had a toddler with us who kept wanting to climb out them.

We stayed at Marina Inn for four nights and really loved our stay. The desk staff were always friendly and approachable and held our bags up on our arrival and for a little while before we flew home. The hallways and our room had been newly remodeled and everything was clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved the big windows. The location of Marina Inn was absolutely perfect for us. We loved walking down to Fort Mason and it is so close to the Pier. Most mornings we took a beautiful walk down to Fort Mason, along the water, to Ghirardelli Square or Fisherman's Wharf and then took transit to other areas of town if needed. The street Marina Inn is located on is spacious and very pretty. We felt very safe here and it would be hard to not staybhere again in the future. Had no problems getting an Uber to or from the hotel either. I really loved our stay here and hope you will give it a chance!!! I have absolutely no complaints.

Absolutely loved our stay at the marina inn. The room was amazing and the views were great. Loved the roof access definitely a vibe. The halls and stairs were under renovation but that’s not even a problem imo. The owners are great people and very kind. Great fire escapes outside the windows that provide a nice sitting area. The surrounding neighborhood was great and felt very comfortable in the area. There’s a park down the street which is a nice walk and some nice coffee shops that are great in the mornings. Bus stop is only 2 blocks away which is great. Will definitely be staying here again. Also the rooms just needed a little wipe down with a Kleenex and a little diy but other than that, we had a fan, a nice little box tv, and some beautiful mirrors. The showers were clean enough.

I loved the marina inn! Stayed here for 3 nights for a short trip and loved it. The neighborhood and the historic « old » feeling were the highlights for me. It was under construction when I went, so it was definitely on the « rustic » side but it was cheap!! Will be gorgeous when the construction is all done for sure.

Inexpensive and great location. Amenities are limited and the wifi is useless in some rooms. The bed is comfortable but the TV isn't a flat screen and some of the fixtures are worn or dirty. You're getting what you pay for so plan accordingly. It's not the Hyatt. The view from some of the rooms is great though and Mel's Diner is half a mile away

The price was nice on the weekday and parking was easy to find across the street from our hotel room where we could see our car the whole time from our windows..very close to the pier and shopping center with safeway. The roof was amazing at night time. Its well worth staying here just for that view of the city and the golden gate bridge all lite up. Beautiful. No A/c or heater but believe me when I say you will not need either. Room gets very cool quickly with windows open and gets warm quick with them shut...I'm always hot and my wife is always cold. And we were both happy. Slept great with all the pillows they give you. Nice hot water and better then normal shower head. Also a Nice park 3 blocks away. For skaters or bmxers there's a pump park that is super fun.

It is not too expensive but there's two things to mention. No. 1 At the time I got in temperature it was a little cold so I've tried to look for the heater thermostat I couldn't find it and I talked to a lady at the office and they said that is not working. No. 2 they put me on the 4th floor, and the elevator wasn't working. Finally, they gave me a warm blanket so I could rest. I stayed there for few nights and I was able to sleep ok

Incredibly affordable option with friendly staff! Thanks to remodeling on lower floors, we got a corner room on the top floor, with plenty of windows to enjoy the view and feel the breeze. Plus, it is within walking distance from Fisherman's Wharf and transit options available there. Once the remodel is done, I'm sure it will be even better.

It was a great central location for many attractions! The location was amazing, near so many great places to eat on chestnut st. Walking distance to Pier 39 was mostly down hill from here which was a plus! The rooms themselves are average and nothing luxurious. We only used the rooms to sleep and was out exploring the town the whole day! If we come back to San Francisco we will be staying here again!

I’m offering 5 stars to this completely shuttered motel that is surrounded by plywood and scaffolding and posters for concerts long performed, purely for the chutzpah of letting me pay $5000 for four nights at a location that the community is protesting could become a felony drug center.
